Ric
Flair, Dusty Rhodes &
the Legend of Baby Doll!
They
called her "Nicola, the Lady Giant." She cut an impressive figure
at almost six feet tall, clad all in leather with a punk haircut and a
saucy reputation for destroying people in the ring; she was Chyna before
Chyna. In 1984, Nicole turned up down south with a new identity and a
brand new dream. She realized if she couldn't be champion herself, she
could be the girlfriend of the champion. Read

Booth's Last TV Show A
Touch of Grace was an oddball show in many ways, not the least
of which was that it focused on elderly people at a time when the
networks were all chasing a young demographic. It was an instant hit
with the critics but didn't stand a chance. Read and

My
World and Welcome to it My
World and Welcome To It might be considered The Simpsons of its time. Smartly-written with a superb cast of familiar faces, My World presented sitcom life enhanced by the writing and scribbling of New Yorker humorist James Thurber (who died eight years before

What would TV history
be without the laugh track? While much-maligned by television critics,
the laugh track is, in fact, any true TVParty-er's best friend. Over the
years, having watched rerun after rerun, we all have come to know and
love those nameless laughers whose voices we recognize, and who can always
be counted on to assure our amusement. Such classics as The
Beverly Hillbillies, The Munsters or even Bewitched wouldn't be nearly as fun - and indeed, would
be almost inconceivable - without the laugh track. Read more...
Heil Honey, I'm Home! It's Heil Honey, I'm Home, the trials and domestic travails of Adolph Hitler and Eva Braun, a not-so-typical suburban couple. The program was presented as if it were an unearthed sitcom from the 1950s. In a nod to that classic sitcom cliche, the first storylines centered around Eva being unprepared for Hitler's important business associate (Neville Chamberlain) coming for dinner and the couple's new neighbors dropping in unexpectedly. The neighbors just happen to be Jewish.WATCH IT FOR YOURSELF AFTER THE JUMP! Read

classics - a kid favorite that failed to pull in enough adult viewers
to stay afloat. Camp Runamuck starred sitcom stalwarts Dave Ketchum, Arch Johnson, Leonard Stone,
and Dave Madden as camp counselors who find themselves besieged by the
boy campers they're in charge of and overwhelmed by the girl's camp (Camp
Divine) across the lake. Read

There ARE Funny Episodes of Mama's Family - Honest! Mama's Family is a show considered to be so bad it may be the worst TV production of all time, in many people's mind. It might surprise you to know the series, in primetime on NBC for 2 seasons before entering syndication, was actually funny when guest stars Betty White as sister Ellen and Carol Burnett as Eunice appeared, reprising their roles from the 'Family' sketches on The Carol Burnett Show, what Mama's Family was based on. Bobby Darin in Las Vegas!
The Masterantonio sisters share a story about Bobby Darin and Roger Miller in Las Vegas. This is just one special time. Bobby was appearing at the Flamingo Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas at the time and we were there to see him. Bobby asked us if we would like to go see a recording session with him.” Read and watch

The Merry Mailman - Ray Heatherton Heatherton made his debut on the small screen in an early video adaptation of Gilbert & Sullivan's H.M.S. Pinafore and The Pirates Of Penzance produced in 1939. "It was for NBC TV," Heatherton recalled. "Harold Sandford was the conductor and Margaret Baum was the soprano. They (the network execs and the producers) were really testing the commercial possibilities of television. "I did the lead in both of them." Read more...

1980's
PUNK ROCK
In the early-eighties, young people in Los Angeles were flocking to
makeshift clubs in droves to see new, up and coming bands. Live new
music, not DJs, was what they craved. These writings provide a sketchy
look at the underground club scene in Los Angeles during the time
that groups like X, Missing Persons, The Go-Go's, The Minutemen and
Wall of Voodoo entered the public consciousness. Read
